The benefits of integration that is specifically built for M-Files
UpFlow can provide the seamless migration of scanned documents into your M-Files repository with an automated solution that requires very minimal end-user intervention.
This means documents that are searchable, indexed, properly named and stored in your M-Files application for easy access. Organizations who use M-Files and want to get the most out of their investment while avoiding a lot of manual effort would benefit greatly from this solution.
Seamless M-Files integration with complete ease of use
The UpFlow migration to M-Files is a unique feature that truly distinguishes our services as the premier capture and data extraction option.
Our direct migration is written into the software, meaning that once it’s been configured, there are no extra steps you need to go through to have the documents moved into M-Files. Our integration with M-Files provides a full document management solution from start to finish.
- Scan your documents from any device – MFP, fax, desktop scanner, or RightFax server
- Scan import documents from a network folder or email system
- Process the documents through our software
- Extract data
- Automatically route the documents to your M-Files repository
How our integration works
When you configure your workflow, you’ll find a template already created for an M-Files integration. From there, you just need to enter the server and credentials to connect our solution with M-Files. You will be able to import all the vaults and document classes associated with your specific M-Files application. You can even select the class and vault that you want the documents to be routed to before you begin.
Along with this, the migration configuration allows you to set fields and choose customised file naming structures. There’s also an option for conditional migration, allowing migration to multiple vaults depending on specific criteria.
Once your documents are processed, and you view them in M-Files, they will be organised using the naming structure you previously defined, and any data that was extracted will be auto-populated in the appropriate fields. You’ll also have full-text search capability within M-Files to locate any data contained in the documents.
Has Covid-19 changed the way businesses manage data?

PSIcapture – Foodfirst New Zealand case study
Foodfirst has over 4500 invoices per month coming into their business via email and hard copy. This required 4 full-time employees and 1 part-time to ensure all the data was entered into the Accredo accounting software in a timely fashion.
PSIcapture – Microsoft case study
Microsoft’s Legal and Corporate Affairs (LCA) division had a paper problem that needed a resolution. For example, the Legal Team was buried in paper records, and with strict requirements on their record-keeping process, paper was creating business bottlenecks due to the inefficiencies of physical records. The records facility was growing at a rate of 3,000 files per month, adding to the already 35,000 files in storage. Many of the files, up to two reams in length, were difficult to manage, and retrievals were creating an adverse impact on team efficiency.
